I cut out the pieces for this labyrinth sometime before lockdown, using the fabrics I had in my stash. I got some of the patchwork done, and then it got put to one side while life continued. When lockdown started, I thought I would use the time as good motivation to finish the projects I had started and then tired of.
This labyrinth design uses the same medieval-based layout as the one I have on my greetings cards, with the entry path going first into the centre ring, to make it more symmetrical.
I hadn’t planned the corner decoration when I first began the labyrinth, just the colours, but when I had finished it, we had moved into the second lockdown, and I decided to decorate the corners with beaded waves as if it was an island.
